Marketecture takes on new telecoms brief Marketecture Business-to-business specialist agency Marketecture has added telcoms service provider, i-conX Solutions, to its growing client base.

Encouraged by Marketecture’s acquired ICT expertise, i-conX has appointed the full service agency to execute a complete rebrand, including an overhaul of its existing website. In addition to the wider marcomms activity, Marketecture’s PR division has been tasked with targeting the telecoms trade media, as well as the Irish business press, as part of a strategic campaign to raise the company’s international profile.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, i-conX Solutions provides expert interconnect services at the point when two separate telecoms operators connect with each other as calls are made between networks.

“Vast sums of money are exchanged daily in mutual compensation agreements between suppliers with up to 60% of a telecom company’s operating costs attributed to interconnect charges,” explained i-conX Vice President Sales and Marketing, Gavin Stewart. “Therefore, any billing discrepancies can have massive financial impact with the potential to inflict bankruptcy if managed inaccurately.”

Service providers, such as i-conX, ensure that interconnect reconciliation between operators is managed as accurately as possible to significantly reduce risk margins. The i-conX system alerts customers to any errors and substantial gaps in service, tracks missing data and identifies network issues to protect against under-billing and, likewise, the threat of being under or over-charged. i-conX’s current customer base includes high profile service providers ntl, Cable & Wireless, 118.com and Smart Telecom.

“Due to the complexity of the subject matter it was essential for us to appoint an agency with the technical know-how to run with the account,” said Gavin. “I was impressed with Marketecture’s intrinsic understanding of the sector.”
